Booster Newsletter Going Paperless Soon!

Our paper Newsletter will end soon, make sure you do not miss future issues.  If you are not getting an electonic version of our Booster Newsletter, please input your email address in the Newletter form above and to the right of this paragraph. Please list as many addresses as you want...

If you are getting an email mailing that you do not want, there is an unscubscribe function at the bottom of the newsletter.

We hope that all of our readers enjoy our new Newsletter format.  The cost of typesetting, paper, printing and mailing was too large a part of our budget and we would like to direct those funds to other projects.

Hollywood hosts 2010 Junior Rose Parade

Once again the Hollywood Boosters helped make the Fred Meyer Junior Rose Parade a success as hundreds of children marched down N.E. Sandy Boulevard. Decked in lime green t-shirts, donated by Booster Sam's Billiards, Booster volunteers reminded the little ones  to, "Stay behind the pink line."  Tony Starlight (AKA Brett Kucera) served as the  Booster honcho in the parade, riding in a red convertible. Despite a few rain drops and threatening dark clouds, young and old enjoyed themselves.  Each year hundreds line the parade route, beginning at N.E. 50 and N.E. Sandy and ending at Grant High School. More photos are available.

Welcome to Hollywood

The Hollywood District is a diverse community of businesses and homes surrounding Sandy Boulevard from NE 27th to 57th Avenues and roughly Tillamook to Halsey. Click here to view map. This site is sponsored by the Hollywood Boosters, and is dedicated to supporting all businesses in the district. Thank you for visiting our site and we hope to see you in Hollywood soon!

Welcome to the New Historic Hollywood!

During the mid-century, the Hollywood district was the hot spot of Portland, with such features as the historic theater, Yaw's Drive-In, Paulsen's Soda Fountain and many more fun shops and services. Over the last 75 years, the Hollywood District has undergone a lot of change, leaving a mix of old and new. Embracing change while holding on to history has made Hollywood the place to be. With vibrant businesses creating a wonderful neighborhood for you to live, shop, work and play in, Hollywood is back for you to enjoy.

Welcome to our new web site.

New Web Site and Improved Functions and Listing!

At long last, the Hollywood Boosters have a new Web site for our members, customers and visitors. Our host, homespunwebsites, has assembled a wide collection of tools, options and support to give our site much more usefulness. Our Boosters will be able to maintain information about their business with the ability to post news, coupons, ads, pictures and more depending on their membership level. More details will be announced as we finalize construction of the site. Please use the contact form located at the bottom of the site if you have questions about how to improve the visibility of your site.

Each committee will be able to maintain news and information about their upcoming and past events and those pages can be sent out as part of our electronic newsletter. Training for our board members will occur first and additional training for our members will be rolled out thereafter. Please be patient as we develop and grow this site to help improve our wonderful business district.
