Clean Up Day
The Hollywood District is looking a little bit cleaner and shinier today. That's because volunteers sweep through on the second Saturday of every month for Hollywood's clean-up. The next clean up is July 11, starting at 8 a.m. Meet at the Baskin-Robbins ice cream store on Northeast 39th and Hancock. Bring appropriate yard tools and debris bags. Wear your grubbies. Business owner Kim Cottrell noticed problems with trash and weeds in Hollywood streets while biking to work. She decided to take action, and talked with a group of Boosters to get the event underway.
